Admissions Policy

Procedures

1.     Recruitment and Admissions process

 

 

1.1 The decision to admit a student must involve more than one member of staff.  This will normally include the course tutor and the Academic Manager.

 

1.2 The final decision will be past to the admission office and issue student a conditional offer letter with terms and conditions.

 

1.3 Students need to accept the terms and conditions to college and admission officer will issue a CAS to the students include the following information:

 

  • Student detail -  name, date of birth, nationality, passport number and unique UKBA CAS number.
  • Colleg information - Tier 4 licecen number, address and contact detail
  • Course - title, level, start date, latest date to join the course, expected end of date, teaching hourser per week and fees. 

 

1.4. Additional action is required for specific student groups, as follows:

·         The Disabilities Officer must be informed about the admission of students who have declared a disability on their Application Form.

·         Applicants who declare a previous criminal conviction must be referred to the Criminal Records Panel.

 

Designated staffs need to ensure that each enquiry and application goes through the direct admissions process. It is the responsibility of the course coordinators to verify all conditions of admission, including academic and English language qualifications.

 

2. Enrolment and re-enrolment processes



2.1. Enrolment of new students will be the responsibility of the Admission office.



2.2. To enable enrolment to take place, the admissions officer must:

  • Confirm that the direct admissions data fields have been completed.
  • And the signs for directing students should be in the place, which including registration desk, student ID card, timetable collection and student handbook collection.
  • At least the course coordinator or one teacher for each subject will be presented on the registration for students’ special enquiries of their intended subjects 

2.3. At busy times throughout the year, in particular in January and September, enrolment of students will be batched at particular block times. The arrival of new students should therefore be timed accordingly. Details of actual dates will be made available on the website.

 

3. Original Documents required at enrolment:

3.4          English Certificate

3.5          Previous Academic Certificate
